2012 Tournament Registration

Steps to Register for the Regional Tournament:

1. Complete the Regional Team Registration Form.  Submit this form along with a $60.00 check made out to “Southside VA/DI” to your School DI Contact by January 13, 2012.

2. Identify your team’s Appraiser.  Have this individual complete the Appraiser Registration Form.  Submit this form to your School DI Contact by January 13, 2012.

3. Identify your team’s Volunteer.  Have this individual complete the Volunteer Registration Form.  Submit this form to your School DI Contact by January 13, 2012.

4. School Contacts must submit all registration forms to John Carroll by January 20, 2012.

5. Ensure that your Appraiser and your Volunteer both complete the Code of Conduct and Insurance Waiver online.  They will have to create a DI Account if they do not already have one.  If they have already completed this process in a previous year, it does not need to be done again.

6. To avoid fees, ensure that your Appraiser attends Appraiser Training as well as the Regional Tournament.  Also, ensure that your Volunteer shows up to his or her two-hour shift at the Regional Tournament.

• This year’s Appraiser Training will be held at Deep Run High School on Saturday, February 4 from 9:00 am to 12:00pm.
• This year’s tournament will be held at Deep Run High School on Saturday, March 3 all day.

Who can be your team’s Appraiser?

All Appraisers must:

• be at least 18 years old.  (or a qualified HS senior alumnus)
• complete the Appraiser Registration Form.
• complete the Code of Conduct and Insurance Waiver online. They will have to create a DI Account if they do not already have one.  If they have already completed this process in a previous year, it does not need to be done again.
• attend Appraiser Training every year they appraise. This year’s Appraiser Training will be held at Deep Run High School on Saturday, February 4 from 9:00 am to 12:00pm.
• attend the Regional Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held at Deep Run High School on Saturday, March 3 all day.

Appraisers will NOT be able to see the team perform at the tournament.

Who can be your team’s Volunteer?

All Volunteers must:

• be at least 18 years old. (or a qualified HS senior alumnus)
• complete the Volunteer Registration Form.
• complete the Code of Conduct and Insurance Waiver online. They will have to create a DI Account if they do not already have one.  If they have already completed this process in a previous year, it does not need to be done again.
• work for a two-hour shift at the Regional Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held at Deep Run High School on Saturday, March 3.

We will make efforts to ensure that your Volunteer’s shift does not conflict with your team’s performance time.
